On the Edge of My Seat

Even though it was more than fifty years ago, I still remember sitting breathlessly on the edge of my seat as I learned to read through the magic of "Dick and Jane".

About Me

My photo

Johnson City, NY, United States
Even though it was more than fifty years ago, I remember clearly when I learned to read. I remember the little wooden chair I sat on and the breathless wonder I felt as the teacher turned the over-sized pages of pictures of Dick and Jane with unknown words under the pictures. I sat on the edge of my seat with the delicious wonder that I was actually learning to read!
